    Full day Petra Visit

One of the New 7 Wonders of the World, it is without doubt Jordan’s most valuable treasure and the greatest tourist attraction. It is a vast, unique city, carved into the sheer rock face by the Nabataeans, an industrious Arab civilization who settled here more than 2000 years ago, turning it into an important junction for the silk, spice and other trade routes that linked China, India, and southern Arabia with Egypt, Syria, Greece, and Rome. The Nabataean Kingdom existed for centuries, and Petra became widely admired for its refined culture, massive architecture and ingenious complex of dams and water channels. Ultimately, however, the Roman Emperor Trajan annexed the Kingdom. While in Petra, we'll get to explore the site from various perspectives. We'll start by walking through the narrow Siq, a sandstone chasm with towering walls that reach 260 feet (80 meters) high. As we reach the end of the Siq, we'll be greeted by the magnificent sight of El Khazneh, also known as the Treasury. We'll have the chance to venture further and explore the higher caves and the High Place of Sacrifice, which offers a stunning panoramic view of the entire site. On the ground level, we'll pass by the houses, tombs of wealthy citizens, and the amphitheater. If you're up for it, there's an option to climb around 800 steps to reach El Deir, also called the Monastery, which boasts an impressive facade topped by a large urn. Although it requires some effort, the reward of experiencing the Monastery in its remote setting is truly worth it.

    Cycle Wadi Araba to Aqaba

Today, we start early to beat the heat and have an authentic desert experience. We'll be transferred to Tayba village and begin our ride mostly on paved roads towards Ar-Rajif. This route passes through traditional Bedouin territory and is a temporary home for nomadic shepherds, so we might have a chance to enjoy some local tea along the way. While the road is generally in good condition, there are some areas with potholes and loose surfaces due to sand and stones blown onto the road. We continue our journey into the desert, heading towards Gharandal via Dilagha and Wadi Araba. This will be our longest and most challenging day of riding, but also the most breathtaking and rewarding. The road takes us on an incredible adventure through the desert, allowing us to fully appreciate the landscape. It's a day dedicated to cycling and immersing ourselves in the surroundings. After crossing the desert, we'll take a short drive to Aqaba, located on the beautiful Red Sea.

Here, monumental rock formations rise from the desert floor, reaching heights of up to 1,750 meters, offering a natural challenge for adventurous mountaineers.
